How much SketchUp experience is required to get started?

There is no SketchUp experience required to start classes on SketchUp for Interior Designers. I do ask complete beginners to take the free SketchUp 101 class to get familiar with some of the tools before jumping into the workflow courses. All of the courses include exercise files to follow along and use a learn-by-doing method. 

If I have questions during the course how do I reach you?

You can email me, I (Tammy) am happy to answer any questions. It helps if you attach the SketchUp (.skp) file to the email so that I can click around and help you faster. 

What version of SketchUp do I need for these courses?

All courses and lessons are currently compatible with SketchUp Pro 2019 - 2022. However, I highly recommend downloading the newest version of SketchUp for the best possible functionality and support. 

I signed into my account, but don’t see my courses listed.

This happens if you have signed up for two accounts, under two separate emails. Be sure to log in under the email that you purchased the courses with. 

What if I'd like to cancel my membership?

Email me (Tammy) and let me know. I'll cancel your membership, no questions asked. Please provide the email address that corresponds with your login information.

I signed up for the courses, but I'm having trouble logging in.

Be sure that you are signing in using the same email address that you used to sign-up. If it is correct, try the following (usually it’s a browser issue):

  • First, temporarily disable any ad blocker extensions you may have installed to your browser.

  • Since many issues can be caused by saved browsing data, you can try clearing your browser cache next.

  • If this doesn't work, then we also recommend trying again while using a private (incognito) browser window.

  • If you're still having issues, then it's important to make sure that your browser is up to date, running the most recent available version. So please try to update your browser next.

  • If an updated browser doesn't resolve the issue, the next step is to try a different browser. We recommend Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.

Lastly, let Tammy know if the issue persists. 

Do I need a Mac or a Windows computer?

SketchUp runs on both a Mac and/or a Windows computer. These courses are recorded on a Mac; however, throughout the course I discuss the differences between the two. Windows users are not left out! 🙂

Can I use SketchUp on an iPad?

SketchUp released an iPad app in 2022. It's fantastic! There are some forthcoming lessons in the library on how to use SketchUp for iPad, but the majority of the lessons are compatible with the desktop/laptop version of SketchUp Pro.

I’m purchasing a new computer, what do you recommend?

I’m not able to recommend a specific computer for you; however, be sure to check the software recommendations for running SketchUp

Do you offer in-person one-on-one trainings?

In pre-pandemic times, I held two-day, small group trainings throughout the country. I really miss hosting these and am hopeful for their return in late 2022. Currently, we are in a “wait-and-see” pattern with Covid numbers and trends. 

What if I am unhappy with the course?

If the lessons aren't what you had hoped, please contact me within the first 15 days to receive a refund (minus a 3% credit card processing fee).

How can I pause or cancel my membership?

You can access your member subscriber hub here to pause or cancel your account. You can also email me (Tammy) and let me know. I'll pause or cancel your membership, no questions asked. Please provide the email address that corresponds with your purchase / login information.

I purchased a course before June 2022. Where can I find it? 

If you purchased a course from November 2016-June 2022, you can still access it here. You can login and choose "My Courses". It will never expire.
